A clear YES. The well-being, health and safety of our guests and staff is a top priority for our company. Since the beginning of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have followed the recommendations of the national and international health authorities (WHO and CDC) and consistently implement all measures in the areas of prevention, hygiene and protection.
In addition, all employees are regularly tested (at least twice a week) for the Corona virus. From June 2021, we will also start our own vaccination programme to protect our guests and staff.

Hygiene and cleanliness have always been a high priority in our hotels. Within the framework of COVID-19, these have once again been adapted to the recommendations of the health authorities in Germany and Austria as well as the Robert Koch Institute. These include: Regular testing of staff, strict hand hygiene guidelines for our team members, especially before eating, preparing food and after using the bathroom. Increased cleaning intensity of our rooms and suites, as well as increased hygiene checks. Regular disinfection of exposed surfaces such as door handles, card terminals and lift buttons with antibacterial liquids. Providing additional disinfectant dispensers and disposable towels in all public areas and associated restrooms. Wearing protective masks and gloves for direct guest contact. Adhering to procedures for dealing with sick colleagues.
Active purification of the air we breathe
We have equipped selected hotels in Vienna with the NPBI technology air purification system from MWH Cleanair. A revolutionary technology that combats Covid-19 and other pathogens, among other things, and thus ensures virus-free breathing air. You can therefore move around in all public areas without worrying and enjoy a risk-free stay in the hotel.

Cleaning intensity has been increased and supplemented by intensified hygiene controls. These include: Our maids are provided with FFP2 masks and gloves on a daily basis. Disinfection of exposed surfaces such as door handles, TV controls, toilets/flush buttons, taps, hairdryers and other room facilities takes place before arrival. In order to protect our guests and staff during their stay and to avoid contact points, we do not clean the rooms on a daily basis. Should you wish daily cleaning, this is of course possible and can be ordered at any time at our reception.

We are currently working on obtaining approval for additional hotel-owned testing stations. In addition, all locations also have testing stations in the immediate vicinity of our hotels, where free antigen rapid tests as well as PCR tests with certificate are carried out.
Rapid antigen tests for self-testing are also available for purchase at the reception.
You can check in and check out of selected hotels via the Hotelbird app. To do this, the free app must be installed on your smartphone. Simply download it from the Apple Store or Google Play.
For the physical check-in and check-out process, we have equipped all hotels with protective devices to minimise direct guest contact. These include: Plexiglas devices at reception, distance markings on the floor to maintain safe distance, handing in of key cards in a separate box which are disinfected and cleaned for reuse. Regular disinfection of card terminals for cashless payment.
All hotels were provided with information about COVID-19 and corresponding instructions. In each hotel there is a COVID-19 specialist who has trained all team members to deal with this situation on site and is also the first point of contact for emergencies.
